Essential back to school tips during the COVID-19 Pandemic
  1. Remembering the basics!
    1. Always remember to socially distance, wear a mask, and wash your hands whenever possible! Although most of us have gotten used to living this way, we can also tend to forget the basics, especially younger children. That is why it is important to reinforce these basic, effective techniques to minimize risk to yourself and those around you.
  2. Understand the regulations.
    1. Understanding the new rules and regulations you or your child’s school has implemented is key to understanding how best to stay safe. If classroom supplies like staplers or hole punchers are being shared, maybe it’s worth bringing your own. It is also important to see if your school is actually following the guidelines set forth by public health officials.
  3. Schedule frequent tests.
    1. With COVID-19, symptoms can come anywhere between 2-14 days after being exposed to the virus. Getting a test every two weeks has been the policy for many colleges opening across the country and would be good to implement regardless of whether or not your school requires it.

At the end of the day, it is best to follow what public health officials tell you. If you need hand sanitizing gel and wipes, be sure to check out for your hand washing needs.
